Jay Freeman aka saurik recently did an interview with Make It Work discussing the history of jailbreaking as well giving some insight into the current state of jailbreak. Interesting nuggets include the story of how George Hotz aka geohot unlocked the iPhone 2G (although he didn’t mention how geohot later traded the world’s first unlocked iPhone 2G for a Nissan 350Z) along with the stories of how he himself got into the jailbreaking community. I highly recommend watching the entire interview as even if you have been around the jailbreaking scene for a while there it still is quite interesting.
